About This Content On July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress of the 13 American Colonies declared independence from Great Britain. The American Revolutionary War, having started the year before, would last for another seven years, and see the birth of a new nation, the United States of America. Europa Universalis IV: American Dream DLC adds over 50 new, unique events, 10 themed event pictures, as well as several new unit models to the United States of America. 7aa9394dea Title: Europa Universalis IV: American DreamGenre: Simulation, StrategyDeveloper:Paradox Development StudioPublisher:Paradox InteractiveFranchise:Europa UniversalisRelease Date: 24 Sep, 2013 Europa Universalis IV: American Dream Free Download Some very nice but limited content for a single ultra niche nation that you're unlikely to play as more than once or twice. When the modern "immerson pack" Third Rome has 5 times the content for 2 times the price and was panned for lack of content I can't justify spending 5 bucks on this.. Doesn't have much more entertainment to the game but if you play as the U.S a lot might be worth buying.. Adds some good flavor but costs too much for what's included. After being a long time fan of this series, I am dissapointed in the new direction they are taking with this product. The goal now, is to simply monetize every single aspect of this game, and make it unplayable unless you buy all the DLCs... This is unnaceptable Paradox. For example, they patched the core 'vanilla' version of EU IV, to add a 'region development level' feature to the game. However, you cannot actually raise the development level of a region, unless you buy another dlc called "Common Sense"... Really!?! Why are you forcing this feature onto the vanilla version, if you need a dlc to fully play it? Pardon the pun, but it makes no sense.Paradox is essentially going back, and making a game you bought in the past, unplayable. It's sad how how patches meant to fix bugs, and add positive features to a game, is now purposefully breaking it so you have to pay more money to fix it.To quote Game of Thrones, SHAME!. Paradox DLC is like a papercut. The more you purchase the more it hurts.. Paradox arbitrarily increases the prices of all games developed and published by them, without giving any information in advance. They literally increased by 40% or so the prices of ALL the games published by them in a very sneaky manner, and when they were questioned, they claimed it was a fair change "due to increase in purchase power on the regions that the price was increased".No, there was not even a single bit of increase in many (or maybe any) of these regions. Regions that also happen to not have as much purchasing power. Also, their DLC policies is worsening at every release. Giving little to irrevelant content, and asking for a high price. (That's even higher now, despite everyone complaining about their pricing, which was already bad back in the day.)So I suggest anyone else to NOT fall in their pathetic policies, and AVOID at all costs any of their games.Original review: http:\/\/steamcommunity.com\/id\/vexxar\/recommended\/42960\/. Since US is so limited in timescale its content isnt greatHowever if your feeling particularly like a proud patriotic american then it does make the US a far more interesting campaign, albeit predictableHonestly it shouldve been an update to make colonies a more viable play. It adds plenty of fun events and missions for the USA which makes for a pretty cool playthrough. If it goes on sale, buy for sure!
